A Kalenjin musician has composed a praise song dedicated to 42 km men’s marathon world record holder Eliud Kipchoge.

The song by Wynestar Korir titled INEOS marathon was uploaded on You Tube on Sunday, October 6.

He thanked the county governments of Nandi, Kericho, Uasin Gishu and Elgeyo Marakwet for supporting athletes.

The musician congratulated Kipchoge for his patriotism and hard work saying his INEOS 1:59 challenge was a great motivation for upcoming athletes.

The 2016 Olympic champion will hit the track for the historic INEOS 1:59 challenge on Saturday, October 12, in Vienna, Austria.

The 34 year old will hope to become the first person in history to run a marathon in under two hours in his second attempt.

During the race, Kipchoge will be flanked by dozens of other elite runners who will act as his pacesetters. They will also run in a formation to shield him from winds and will change shifts every 10 km.
